The manufacturing process
 
Intensive development work has led to the successful creation of a steel which is tailor-made for the requirements of hairdressing scissors: MicroCarbide steel. This high-performance material draws its extremely fine, homogeneous structure from a complex powder metal process: the molten steel is atomized to micro-powder and compacted under high pressure.
 		  

 
For extremely high levels of wear resistance
 
An x-ray view of the steel gives a clear idea of the differences: conventional steel wears out faster. The reason: the carbides, which ensure wear resistance, have a rough structure and are only spread irregularly within conventional scissors steel.

 		  
Where as the state-of-the-art MicroCarbide steel contains very fine and evenly spread carbides as well as a particularly high level of vanadium. Together the homogeneous structure and the vanadium ensure that MicroCarbide is not only very hard but also tough and therefore extremely wear resistant.  
 

 
The fascination with permanent sharpness
 
Because the stability of the cutting edges is extraordinarily high, Jaguar Euro-Tech stays sharper a lot longer - even longer than cobalt scissors.
